My First Self-Caricature

This is my first attempt at trying to do my own caricature. I have a couple books on the subject, but I've mostly just practiced drawing excercises in the book. This is the first one I've actually done on my own. I'm not completely happy with it, but it's a start in the right direction. I painted it in on Corel Painter using a mix of airbrushes and watercolor brushes. I also did some touch ups with the pencil tool.

This picture was painted in Photoshop. It is still a work in progress, but it's the most painting I have ever done in PS. It's a challenging program for me, but it is also amazing all the capabilities you have with the software!

Venturing Into The Art World

I am taking a leap into the art world. Exploring new avenues of learning more about the process. Hopefully gaining knowledge and feedback in the process! I'm submitting for the first time ever to Illustration Friday. Hope all goes well. I'm a bit of a newbie at all this.
